Ellen Bianchi wants her students to learn how to create multiple images of their designs via printmaking. Students will learn to carve rubberized material (Soft-kut) and roll ink on it to create Art. This is an unique method of creating Art. The Center for the Arts students draw and paint everyday but they do not often get to try this medium.

Super Sculpey is a unique polymer clay that mimics other professional grade plasticine clay while being easy to work with and store due to its ability to stay soft regardless of moisture content. The clay is also finished by heating the final product in a standard oven for 30 minutes to an hour. This makes the clay convenient for our students that are working from home, while being widely versatile for all students.

Currently, students share one light box and have to wait 15 minutes between cleanings. A full set of light boxes for the class is desired. Buy one or more using Amazon Smile with a note to the class. They will really appreciate it!

The general goal of podcasts is to give students the ability to creatively reflect and show an authentic evaluation of a historic era, an ongoing current events issue in a Global Studies class, or a reflection of an artists work. Students can take a topic and drive that conversation, allowing the learning and the environment to be as engaging and thought-provoking as they see fit.
