What We AreA nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization working to enhance the educational environment for North Fort Myers students to strengthen student activities, programs and recognition.
|
Who We areThe Foundation is a board of local community volunteers, parents, alumni, students, and school representatives
|
Our MissionFunding academic and athletic grants, supporting teacher and student recognition events, funding capital improvement projects.
|
The Necessity of FundraisingThe funds allocated to school programs from the various federal, state and local sources fall short of what is needed to provide all students with the very best academic, social, physical, and emotional experiences. Fundraising is necessary to fill the gaps and provide the best programs possible. The Red Knight Foundation seeks to enhance, not replace, school community fundraising.
What is a Realm? The mission of the North Fort Myers Red Knight Foundation is to enhance the educational environment for North Fort Myers students. Red Knight Foundation Realms allow supporters to determine how fundraising dollars are allocated. Whether you are a parent, alumni, business or community member, you can participate in ways that benefit the academic/arts programs, sports teams, graduating classes, clubs, recognition and capital improvement projects that mean the most to you.
|
The Funding CycleFund allocation and program expenditures within the school district are governed by varying sets of rules depending on the instructional area and the source of the income. The links below will attempt to explain some of the intricacies between state and district funds, internally raised funds, external grants and the academic instruction, arts programs, athletic teams and clubs the funding supports.

Intelligent Light Campaign
|
The North Fort Myers Red Knight Foundation ended the 2024-2025 school year donating $4588 for two "intelligent lights". The funding was generated through generous cash donations, winning bidders of our Silent Knight Online Auctions and supporters of our RaiseRight gift card program who have selected the performing arts programs or Intelligent Light Campaign as their favorite Realm! These lights installed over the Summer of 2024 in the auditorium can move, change color, change style, and follow performers throughout the production. These lights used in professional theaters greatly elevate the space and overall productions with the added bonus of benefiting NFHMS performers for years to come.
Thanks to all who have helped us to further enhance North's upcoming awesome performances. |
FULLY FUNDED!

Super Sculpey
|
For four years RKF has been keeping the Visual Arts Department stocked with Super Sculpey clay. Another 24 pounds was shipped this November!
Super Sculpey is a unique polymer clay that mimics other professional grade plasticine clay while being easy to work with and store due to its ability to stay soft regardless of moisture content. The clay is also finished by heating the final product in a standard oven for 30 minutes to an hour. This makes the clay particularly convenient to work with for all students. It was a real plus during the pandemic for the students who were working from home. |

Class Activities
|
Graduating Classes must fundraise for 100% of their class activities funds. No funding is provided by federal, state or local school budgets. These expenditures can include supplies for school spirit events as well as teacher appreciation days, deposits for prom venues and services, senior activities as well as funds to cover the graduation ceremony. The ceremony alone can cost up to $10,000.

Parent Led
|
Serving the NFMHS staff a Thanksgiving Breakfast is a very long running tradition which has taken on a number of forms over the many years it has been held. Over the last six years our very gracious cafeteria manager has volunteered her time to cook all the hot food we provide her with. Parent Volunteers are requested to shop, setup, serve and cleanup!
As the kitchen staff doesn't get to partake in the festivities, the breakfast donations also fund a special catered event for the cafe staff at a time more convenient for them. Check out more info and pics for Thanksgiving Breakfast and how you can become involved in this and other Staff Recongnition Events. |
The Girls Soccer Team parents raised $5900 utilizing corporate matching programs. Many employers a philanthropic initiative where companies financially match charitable donations made by their employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. This means that when an employee donates to a charity, their employer will also donate an additional amount, often at a specific ratio like 1:1, 2:1, or even higher. These programs are a great way for companies to amplify their social impact and for employees to make a bigger difference with their giving.

Teacher Appreciation
|
RKF runs a Silent Knight Online Auction in the spring. The principal donates reserved seating and parking graduation packages. Half of the proceeds benefit Staff Appreciation initiatives and half the proceeds benefit an NFMHS program that each winning bidder chooses.
These funds provide funding for back to school events and supplies for teachers. There is NO funding in the federal, state or local school budgets for these items. |
